Ad Summa Nitamur

The Eliots Green school motto which is Latin for “Let us strive for perfection” - as we were all led to believe that it meant “Let us strive for the heights” it seems that we never got there (at least with Latin!).

Were the motto to have meant “Let us strive for the heights” then it should have been “Ad Summa Nitimur” not “Nitamur”

Only two other organisations (according to Google) use these sentiments as their motto:
